We found this strange thing on a walk, is it a cabbage patch kid or is grandpa being eaten by a giant plant? Send your votes in.

Red Bud

Here's the mystery, white red bud that isn't really red. It sure is pretty though.

And this is wisteria. It's so pretty. And we have been looking at this house with parts painted purple and wondering why would someone do this to their house. But with the wisteria it looks really pretty. And the wisteria is just beautiful!!

Dog's like car rides

An interesting photo I think. Bear loves hangin' his head out the window and feeling the breeze rush through his ears. Actually it looks like I'm feeling the breeze but he's certainly checking out the neighborhood.

Well, What do you think?

New look! Well, what do you think? In an effort to jazz up the blog here is a new view.

Please send in all comments and while you're at it update us on what's new with you!

A Plethora of Catepillars

All of the sudden we are seeing strange webs in the trees. But what could they be? Upon closer inspection they seem to be filled with something. And upon closer inspection we see that they are filled with catepillars. And upon even closer inspection we see that they are filled with lots and lots of catepillars. These guys are not environmentally friendly. They crawl out of the web and eat the tender new leaves until they are all gone and then the tree dies. Weird but interesting.

Ozark Spring

Actually this should be called "The Mystery of the Red Bud." These are all over and so gorgeous. In the woods you just see this purple haze. Okay, the thing is that these trees are Red Bud trees. Clearly the blossoms are purple or lavender - so how did they come up with the name? Oh well, they are so beautiful.

My next quest will be to take pictures of dogwoods. They are so pretty too. I think they might have bloomed in some places but I haven't seen any here yet.

Wish you were all here to share in this beauty!! By the way, I believe if you double click on the pictures you'll get a nice close up.

Ozark Spring

This is a flowering weeping willow or as I believe Kate would say, a flowering sad tree. Smaller and really pretty.
Another pretty bush and closeup.

Pretty white flowers, don't know what kind of trees.
Now this little purple flower is so pretty! Look at the pretty field of pretty purple flowers. Look at the yard inundated with the pretty little purple flowers. It's a nightmare!!!

Ozark Spring

Just wanted to share some spring flowers with you. It's really beautiful here. As soon as one type of tree looses it's blossoms another pops out. The yellow flowers are forsythia, lots of that around here. I don't know what the pink trees are but they are all around the mall.
