Is it . . .???
Red Bud
Here's the mystery, white red bud that isn't really red. It sure is pretty though.
And this is wisteria. It's so pretty. And we have been looking at this house with parts painted purple and wondering why would someone do this to their house. But with the wisteria it looks really pretty. And the wisteria is just beautiful!!

A Plethora of Catepillars
All of the sudden we are seeing strange webs in the trees. But what could they be? Upon closer inspection they seem to be filled with something. And upon closer inspection we see that they are filled with catepillars. And upon even closer inspection we see that they are filled with lots and lots of catepillars. These guys are not environmentally friendly. They crawl out of the web and eat the tender new leaves until they are all gone and then the tree dies. Weird but interesting.

Ozark Spring
Actually this should be called "The Mystery of the Red Bud." These are all over and so gorgeous. In the woods you just see this purple haze. Okay, the thing is that these trees are Red Bud trees. Clearly the blossoms are purple or lavender - so how did they come up with the name? Oh well, they are so beautiful.
My next quest will be to take pictures of dogwoods. They are so pretty too. I think they might have bloomed in some places but I haven't seen any here yet.
Wish you were all here to share in this beauty!! By the way, I believe if you double click on the pictures you'll get a nice close up.
